Murray Mallee Region – Junior Coaching Day
Murray Mallee will be running a Junior Coaching day for any junior across the Murray Mallee region on Tuesday the 21st of December at Murray Downs Golf and Country Club at 9.30am for a 10am start. Could you please promote this day within your club and if you have any juniors or potential juniors could you please pass them the attached flyer.
The day will involve, one on one coaching, drills and skills activities, match simulation and fun games. We will have a registration for the day to track numbers and you can register to be involved in the day via this link here: https://bowlsvictoria.wufoo.com/forms/z1feciy21qcjssl/. If you are a junior and cannot attend the day could I encourage you to still fill the form in so we can build a junior contact list and notify any juniors of any upcoming events. The long-term vision is to form a Regional Junior Development Squad that will give Juniors a chance to train and play together and enter junior events. The reasoning behind the date is that there are a number of junior events available to enter in mid-January and by running a coaching session prior to Christmas, will give the juniors an opportunity to enter these events.
Understanding the Murray Mallee region, a tyranny of distance is apparent that a Regional Junior Development Squad won’t be able to come together often but the vision also sees the squad having their own get together in their own playing area’s when they can’t come as an entire region.
